What we offer
Club Ice/Social Events
A great place to get to know other members is at Club social events! Social events are free to all basic skills and regular members of TGCFSC. We host parties for most major holidays and sometimes just for fun. This is a chance to play and skate with your friends and to make new friends.
Sugar Skate & Skate Houston
We host two competitions a year: Sugar Skate in the Spring and Skate Houston during Labor Day Weekend. This is a wonderful opportunity for our members to compete without having to travel.
Jr. Board
Jr. Board is open to high school students and are instrumental in running the club’s Boots & Buddies program. Jr Board members also organize club activities and assist in planning the End of Year Gala.
Financial Stipends
Financial Stipends are awarded to eligible Full Home Club member skaters who compete in qualifying competitions at the highest competitive level. This is based annually on the financial strength of TGCFSC. For additional information, please refer to the Guidelines for Skater Stipends.
Exhibitions & Critiques
During the 2022-2023 skating year, Texas Gulf Coast FSC hosted four exhibitions and two critiques. Open to all members, Basic Skills and Up, exhibitions are an opportunity for skaters to perform in full dress before the competition. For our IJS-level competitors, we offer Critiques which are a chance for judges to give input on programs. This includes a private discussion among the skater, judge, and coach.
Spiritwear & Club Jacket
Our Club jacket with a unique Club logo is specially designed and is available at cost to club members to encourage them to show Club spirit. We also offer a variety of spirit wear and are open to ideas you may have for spirit wear!
